“To stop war by the perfection of engines of destruction alone, might consume centuries and centuries. Other means must be employed to hasten the end.”

Ron Suiter has led complex, large-scale initiatives for organizations including the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Energy, and NASA. His goal is to connect advanced systems analysis tools with visionary thinkers to solve some of the world’s most difficult economic and social challenges.
He believes that at the core of Making Peace Profitable™ is a pragmatic principle: economic growth must be both sustainable and inclusive. True progress occurs when all segments of society participate in development and share in its benefits. This approach transforms economic expansion from a short-term intervention into a long-term engine for stability and peace.
Turning Short-Term Gains Into Long-Term Wins
Global programs to expand electricity access have demonstrated that reliable power can improve quality of life, reduce poverty, and stimulate economic activity. In many cases, energy access has helped initiate a virtuous cycle of growth.
Yet experience consistently shows that electricity supply alone is not enough to ensure lasting development. Evidence from Africa and India confirms that energy infrastructure must be matched by economic capacity, productive enterprise, and local demand in order to deliver sustainable results.
USAID’s Power Africa program, as reported by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), illustrates this challenge:
“They have had to hold back on supply because the demand side can’t evacuate the power—not enough load and distribution development.” – Former Energy Director, Power Africa
Similarly, the former CEO of the Initiative for Global Development cautioned:
“…programs must develop the economy (demand) in balance with electric power… you must have economic growth or risk a major social explosion.”
Making Peace Profitable™ proposes integrated, market-driven solutions that align energy supply with enterprise development—unlocking sustainable GDP growth and broad-based social impact.
Systems for Sustainable Growth
In partnership with Ventana Systems, Inc., Making Peace Profitable™ applies advanced System Dynamics modeling to understand the real drivers of sustainable growth and to engineer the infrastructure required to achieve it. Two proven applications demonstrate this capability:
Top-Down Climate and Economic Modeling
Ventana developed an eight-sector dynamic model for the EU-funded Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS). It quantifies climate impacts on national GDP and key sectors such as agriculture and health across countries from Kenya to Fiji. The model enables governments and investors to evaluate policy options and prioritize investments that both mitigate climate risk and accelerate economic growth.
Bottom-Up Village Development Planning
Working with DESI Power, India, Ventana designed analytical tools to optimize multi-fuel, carbon-neutral hybrid power systems as engines of village-level economic development. Combined with programs to improve water access and agricultural productivity, these installations have proven that reliable electricity drives entrepreneurship, increases farmer incomes, and creates durable local employment.
Further Applications and Strategic Partnerships
The North Horr Water Restoration Project is an urgent, high‑impact initiative to restore sustainable access to clean water for 20,000 people in one of Kenya’s most drought‑affected regions and to ensure that becomes the foundation for regional sustainable jobs and food security within 12 months. Using advanced Deep‑Seated Water Technology™ (DSWT), and in collaboration with local entities, including the Earth Organization, the project will identify and access deep, drought‑resilient aquifers and then install hybrid solar‑powered water systems across six priority locations in Marsabit County with complete local education in operation, plus maintenance of the agricultural and livestock systems that the water will support. The complete project will be modelled on an advanced economic framework to capture the impact, including on GDP. Constant improvements will be implemented to facilitate optimal replication and team building across Kenya and in Africa broadly.
We are also collaborating with EcoPeace Middle East to explore the design and engineering of the Peace Triangle—an ambitious initiative demonstrating how shared economic infrastructure can help transform one of the world’s most conflicted regions.
By integrating reliable energy, rigorous systems modeling, and inclusive economic planning, Making Peace Profitable™ introduces a scalable framework that turns stability into growth, and growth into lasting peace, delivering measurable economic and social returns worldwide.
